type='text'>1 vs 90,000 - The Counterbalancing Effects of Intention

"One individual who lives and vibrates to the energy of optimism and a willingness to be nonjudgmental of others will counterbalance the negativity of 90,000 individuals who calibrate at the lower weakening levels".

That's just one of the fascinating facts shared by Dr. Wayne Dyer in his report on the research of Dr. David Hawkins (in Dr Dyer's book, "The Power of Intention"). That's pretty powerful. And to me it exemplifies the power we have as individuals to make a positive difference in the world. By changing our intention to a more positive one, or higher vibration, we are not just changing ourselves or the person next to us but it seems that energy is reaching out well beyond what we imagine.

It reminds me in a way of my own feeling that each of us working towards a more peaceful harmony in the world and casting aside judgements of others are working in our own patch of light that extends to the people around us - and as more and more patches appear they start growing toward each other until bigger patches appear. And perhaps one day, we will see that light connected around the world.

What People Are Saying!

It's nice to know that when we say our mission is to nourish the body, replenish the mind, create a positive space for the spirit, and inspire the soul - that it really is happening!

More testimonials come in, for the clothing and for the protein drink, so we thought we would share the latest here:

Richard (natural body building): “The protein, like I said is a solid product. I know I’ve been humbled by the strength and resilience, the love and devotion of the people of Haiti.

Stories such as the husband who knew his wife was buried in the rubble of the family home and refused to leave the site for 60 straight hours while they dug using their bare hands and a single shovel – until she was pulled out alive.

Or the teens – one pulled out 14 days one 15 days after being buried alive. I don’t know if I could have survived … I think they were wrapped in the wings of angels.

Right now many people have sent money to relief agencies, and they need that. But there are also now hundreds of thousands of people living in tent cities with just the clothes they were wearing when they escaped the quake. And the rainy season is about to start, making life even more miserable.

Women, young girls, and babies, in particular were most vulnerable before the quake and are even more at risk now.

So we want your help to send some Love to Haiti and let them know we care.

Sponsor one of the shirts at http://www.half4charity.com/ – special shirts that are filled with Love and Hope and Compassion and over 200 positive words in 15 world languages printed INSIDE the shirt to wrap the body and spirit in positive words and energy – and let someone know you care.

We have a major aid agency already on the ground that will see that these shirts get to the most at-risk. The women, young girls, and babies.

When you sponsor a shirt you will receive what’s called a gift-in-kind receipt from the charity. A gift-in-kind receipt is typically where you purchase something at wholesale price, only in this case every shirt is at or below cost, and in return you get a charitable tax receipt for the full retail value of the item.

You can visit our parent website, www.creomundi.com, and check out the testimonials on the client feedback page. Or go to the Creo Mundi Facebook fan page and read the reviews and comments there.

But right now, please go to http://www.half4charity.com/ and sponsor a shirt for as little as $11 and let someone there know we care.

With gratitude.

Some of the shirts available to sponsor:

Building Your Charitable Foundation Now: What I Learned in CEO Space

How does a non-profit Foundation work with your for-profit company? Are you planning to add a Foundation for your company in the future? What about now?

Many companies who identify themselves as "conscious businesses" implement some of the practices that can be immeditately recognizable as part of conscious businesses: using eco friendly products, donating a percentage of profits back to the community, using fair trade or fair pricing, and so on. However like many companies, you may not believe you should create your foundation or charity until much later once you are hugely profitable and can afford to "give away" all your products or services. Think Bill Gates and the Microsoft Foundation!

However, what if you could create your company Foundation now, and have it work in conjunction with your for-profit company to help build your business? Would that not appeal to you? How would that work?

What happens is that, as one example, in our company we identify the needs of teens locally to be increasing their self-esteem; teaching them how their thoughts create their reality in both personal and work spheres; how to interact with adults in the job market; and teach them basic entrepreneurial skills. We set up a workshop or series of workshops to address those needs. We match it to grants that are available. And as part of the grant submission for funding, in addition to cost of materials of any supplies we may be providing, we include the cost of our Intentional Tees and Intentional Hoodies for each teen to give them at the end of class to serve as a tool to remind them to stay focused on their goals. So we buy from the company at regular price, to donate to our programs through our Foundation as provided by grants.

Another way having a Foundation will work with you: You lease space in the name of your Foundation, at certain tax breaks etc. And then you sub-lease a smaller part of that to your for-profit company for office and warehouse space.

So having a company Foundation working together with the for-profit company is really an extraordinary partnership.

In case you think this may be harder than it looks – I already met a former aerospace engineer at CEO Space who is “two steps away” from the President of Cuba … and he wants me to bring exactly such a program for teens to Cuba…and Puerto Rico and everywhere else in South America to teach these needed skills to teens who can bring entrepreneurship to their home villages/cities/ countries. Now it is simply matching up with a grant that will cover the costs of doing so. And I already have my eye on someone who writes grants, who I met just before leaving for CEO Space.

I can also collaborate with schools to provide nutrition (breakfast) for students, using our protein drink as an example. There is so much that is available that can be done that can help us reach the people who can benefit most from our products and services. And now, thanks to CEO Space, and Sherita Herring who taught this class, my eyes and heart have been opened and I can see clearly on how to get our message out there.

Thank you Sherita, and thank you Bernie Dohrmann and CEO Space!

CEO Space – A Space Like Nothing I’ve Ever Experienced Before

I’ve just come back from 10 days of millionaire business coaching out in Henderson Nevada (south of Las Vegas), and we have had the best of the best as our Teachers at CEO Space. Our instructors not only taught the classes, they were at breakfast lunch and dinner with us and you could sit at their table to gather more information specific to our needs. Plus we had the opportunity to schedule private meetings with them, and yes, I met with a number of the instructors in private too. After the first few days my thought was “the knowledge I’m gaining was worth the price of admission alone” – quite apart from the connections made throughout the nearly two weeks there.

Some of our instructors included Rand Brenner – licensing guru whose company has licensed billions of dollars of merchandise; Lisa Nichols – author of No Matter What and Teacher in the book and movie The Secret …. who cleared her very busy schedule to be with us 4 full days (typically she is only able to be there to do her “Super Teaching” class and then flies out); Michelle Price – social media guru and expert author; Steve Meyers – corporate securities lawyer; Sherita Herring – who wants every for profit company to have a not for profit arm; Les Brown – motivational speaker extraordinaire; top branding, marketing, and sales experts, and on an on. It was the most amazing 10 days of my business life so far. And, much like the fraternities at universities, I am now a member of this extraordinary group for life. With their contacts and connections and more.

A friend of mine who also attended for the first time, has connected with many of these elite coaches because of the head shots (photos) she was doing for them during the 10 days – resulting in terrific before and after pictures to show during the event, but also resulting in people like Les Brown asking her out to fly to the US to take more pictures of him, and of one of his friends. Or of Liana Chaouli, Image Therapist who charges upwards of $36,000 per week for her celebrity clients, asking my friend for a quote to come to LA and shoot photos. Or of Sherita Herring, grant guru and the person you should speak to NOW about creating a Foundation for your company, who wants my friend to come to the U.S. to shoot her photos. I know the connections and experience for my friend far surpassed her expectations too.

What was interesting was that while I may not have got what I wanted (capital to keep the company moving forward); I got what I needed, which was knowledge on how to restructure (to form an international company for Creo Mundi), upgrade compliance; create a Foundation for the company (and secure grant money to run the programs); and the deep connections to a group of people that are there at the tip of my finger to look in my directory and find the help I need.

I wish I had this 2 years ago, but I’ve learned the Universe places you in position at the moment you need to be there and not a moment sooner.

As instructed at one of the first classes I attended (and in a number of subsequent classes by subsequent instructors), I ‘pitched’ all 10 days for the protein drink to get it in the US market. What was interesting was that by the end of the 10 days, I had a number of contacts to follow up with in terms of US entry for the protein drink.

And, what I have come back with are two draft licences for our Intentional shirt concept! As these are still draft, I cannot mention who they are, but know that I am just as excited to have these people as license partners, as they are about our concept.

Rand Brenner, the licensing guru, was working with me on the draft however we did not get it completed as his time, as you can imagine, was being pulled hither and yon and while I seriously wanted his expertise we were far enough along in the draft that I did not have to “hog” his time from others. However right after the holidays, I intend to find a lawyer here with licensing experience who can help me finish the draft and have the agreements signed.

I am very excited and very hopeful on the direction the company will be taking.

So my heart is light, and my gratitude flowing, for the universe bringing us people like our original shareholders who invested in us early on in the process and who will reap the benefit of that trust down the road. For bringing me “home” to a place like CEO Space where for the entrepreneur, you finally connect with a worldwide community of people who understand the challenges we face and can support us in our dreams and vision. And for finding us a way to bring our message of Love and Hope and Courage and Dreams and Gratitude and Compassion, and more, to people around the world in the form of a Foundation as the medium to use.

Will I go back? You bet! Being at CEO Space is a process, not a single event. And there is nothing like being together with several hundreds of like-minded people who are there to find out “What do YOU do and how may I serve you?” It is extraordinary.

With much gratitude, and wishing every one of you and your families a very special Merry Christmas, and a most joyful and prosperous New Year.

Alison & Jocelyn

Getting Ready for Christmas - Remember to Take Care of YOU

This time of year everyone starts getting a bit frantic about presents, what to get who, how much can you spend, who's coming for dinner, what party are you going to, is the family going to behave at Christmas or is there a big blowout expected like previous years, what are you going to cook, what are you going to wear ... and on and on and on! Whew! No wonder so many people are depressed this time of year - the expectations are enormous. So, when are you going to take care of you?

Remember that the world will not end if the "perfect place setting" was ruined because the gravy got dropped. And war will not break out if you wear the same dress this year to the office party that you wore last year - consider it going green by recycling. And your guests will still speak to you if your spinach dip slops over the side of the bowl...

For difficult family members coming for the holiday meal, try this - say to yourself, "this time, right now, I choose to be happy in the moment and I choose to let everyone else's issues stay their issues". Acknowledge your feelings, and then let them go. Understand that circumstances and backgrounds may have influenced who we are, but each of us makes the choices as to who we become - and it is a choice you really cannot change for someone else. Then when you start accepting people for who they are, flawed or otherwise, instead of mourning the person they might have become, you will feel this little ball of compassion instead of a ball of anger. And it may just make it easier to share their company for the short time of the holidays.

And finally, treat yourself. Go get a manicure. Have a massage. Watch your favourite film. Relax. Pause. Breathe.

Wishing you a very loving and peaceful and joyful holidays.

More Testimonials

Here are a few more recent testimonials posted on the Creo Mundi Fan page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Creo-Mundi/187153014831):

Your t-shirt arrived Alison! Guess that's what happens sometimes when you blog on 2 or 3 areas! Anyway, time I think to post a few testimonials. This one is from a skeptic, you didn't even want to try our shirts. He posted this on the Creo Mundi Facebook Fan page but I think it is worthwhile to post some of the stories here too. So this is from Ian:

"I just had to let you know that I absolutely love your Intentional t-shirts. I have two and wear them all the time. I was very skeptical at first after hearing the basis for the shirts but after wearing them just once I felt different almost immediately.

I am not religious in anyway and I have never believed in the power of positive thinking … I am a realist and have always believed that we are on a predetermined path for life. We can alter our lives slightly depending on certain uncontrollable circumstances. But when I was told to try your shirts out I didn’t just hesitate at first I refused. After much persuasion from friends I purchased a shirt and wore in that same night. Within the first few minutes of having it on, I felt better about myself and thought nothing of it. As the night went on, I felt warmer inside my body – like someone was hugging me – and I had a better outlook on life.

Since that night, I come home from work and immediately put on a t-shirt and wear it till I go to bed. In my spare time I also am a writer and I write best at night. I have noticed an increase in the quality of my writing and the amount I am writing as well.

I am not sure what circumstances have changed but ever since I have started wearing your t-shirts positive things have been changing and happening around me and I just can’t put it down to chance anymore … I no longer can admit that things are happening “just because”; now I have to admit that things are happening because of the power behind the t-shirts.

I am telling everyone I know about them and they too have seen a change in my attitude.

Thank you so much for coming up with such a powerful and positive idea as this. I cannot wait to see what else you and your wonderful creative team come up with using the power of Positive Intentions!

Sincerely,
Ian"

Amazing Testimonial - How Intentional Products Help Change a Life

Here is a testimonial I want to share with everyone, from a customer who phoned me in the summer to tell me how meeting us two months before and using our products had profoundly changed his life. Let me preface this by saying how skeptical he was about our products at first!

He described how until our meeting he was just “poison” – saying “I was full of poison – I was the best at my job because I had no heart and would tell people easily that their service would be cut immediately if their bills weren’t paid. I was poison with my wife, who has been with me for 15 years. I’m so full of poison that my mother in law wouldn’t even let me come to the cottage – my wife and kids could, but I was not allowed. And since meeting you and drinking your drink and wearing your shirt – which by the way I wear under all my shirts…it’s always on – I feel like I have been surrounded by a veil of light. For the first time, I realized it isn’t “all about me”."

He went on to say "for the first time I realized it is about my service to others, including my wife and family. My wife can’t believe the change in me. My kids can’t believe the change. For the first time in our marriage we’re taking a family holiday for 3 weeks, not just a week “just for the kids” … but a real family holiday. For the first time, my mother in law has asked me to come to the cottage, and is asking to read the book you loaned me. Even my body is changing – my dentist had wanted me to go to the sleep clinic to get one of those oxygen masks to wear at night in bed because my gums were so grey looking. But I was there last week and he asked if I was on the mask. I told him no. And he said something has changed because my gums were now pink and healthy looking. How can that be?

Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor discovered an important truth during her recovery from a rare stroke in the left hemisphere of her brain (My Stroke of Insight). She learned that the behaviours prior to the stroke that were tied to previous neural pathways and circuitry did not have to come back with her during the recovery. She could choose what emotional circuits she would reactivate and what circuits she would leave behind.

In other words, the physiological response to a trigger lasts only about 90 seconds in the body from beginning to end. Anger for example or fear can trigger an adrenalin rush – and that chemical rush lasts about 90 seconds before it is flushed from the body.

After the physiological response passes, if you are still angry or afraid it is because you have chosen to remain connected to that neurocircuitry.

Think about that for a minute. Is it really possible you have a choice?

The brain has many learned behaviours of neural pathways where things can “push your buttons” and trigger an emotional response – and you can just feel that surge of hurt, or indignation, or fear powering through you. A typical response is to fight back with more hurt, indignity, and anger. In my mind I picture someone’s thoughts going “I can’t believe they said that to me? Who do they think they are? How DARE they! After all I do for them! The NERVE! I’m just going to tell THEM what I think about THEM and see how THEY feel! I know exactly how I’m going to hurt back because I know which buttons to push on THEM and no one speaks to me like that and gets away with it! I’ll show THEM!”

Sound familiar? Has that happened to you?

Now what if you waited 90 seconds after that emotional button was pushed? What if instead of counting to ten, you counted to 90 and waited out the chemical response in the body of that trigger? And then took a breath…

And then choose not to react, but to respond with compassion. That does not mean you must be a victim – not at all! But what if you started practising accepting that “their stuff” is their stuff, and your stuff is your stuff and that more often than not, you are being hit with “their stuff” that in turn is a product of both biology and environment. And just say to yourself “in this moment, I am choosing to walk away from my typical response”.

Once the 90 seconds have passed start saying to your brain “I am not going to hook into this again because I do not like how it makes me feel.” I have said to myself sometimes “just STOP IT! I don’t want this negativity in my head! GO AWAY”. And if necessary on really persistent loops, I have even stomped my feet and said “NO!” Sounds crazy? It isn’t! It just means that for extra effect you sometimes have to add a physical component to your response – much like slapping a hand on a table will get your attention faster, so too will adding a physical component to the response you are telling your brain.

Just think what we can accomplish if we all practised the 90-second rule. We have the power to choose who we want to be in this world. Take your 90 seconds and choose well.

The Most Profound Question

“Why do dogs risk getting bugs in their eyes when they stick their heads out of car windows?” was a question that caught my attention. It was a question asked to Abraham, the being that Esther Hicks channels in many presentations across the continent.

After the laughter of the audience, Abraham gently answered that this gentleman had asked “the most profound question”. Abraham then went on to say that it was “because the contrast of the bugs in the eye is a small price to pay for the exhilaration of that ride. And it is exactly the same way you felt when you made the decision to come into this physical existence. It’s exactly the way you felt when you knew there would be contrast and you said - the ride is going to be worth it.”

Wow! Is your head nodding as you read those words? I get goose bumps just writing that, even after watching the video numerous times (http://tinyurl.com/nuga8j). The joy of living, of being a participant of the world on this planet and experiencing all that life has to offer is worth it – even during rough times, during terrible times. Because at the end the exhilaration of experiencing being alive is what counts. I feel like shouting “I’m alive! I’m alive!” at the top of my voice and can feel the joy in my chest spreading as I feel that energy. I encourage you to watch the video. And then I encourage any readers within distance of Toronto, Canada to come with me and spend the day with Jerry and Esther Hicks September 26, 2009 (http://tinyurl.com/l6oynu). We started on this path (to patenting the design) because we felt very strongly about what we were doing. A year ago the lawyer told us we had about a 90% chance of failing in the application. Still, that gave us about a 10% chance of succeeding and that was enough for us! We first received the Canadian design patent a few months back. We didn't want to say anything then until we had both patents in hand. And then yesterday received word about finally receiving the US patent (upon paying the final processing fee).

Perseverance, faith, a firm belief in what we were achieving - until finally a patent in both countries was recognized for our shirts. Those are people who resent the success of others, and figure that because they don’t have something (whatever that “thing” may be) other people should not have it either.

Or are you in the group that encourages everyone to reach for the stars? Those are people who rejoice in the success of others, and strive to achieve similar (or greater) successes of their own. I’m not talking about people who should be given something “as their right”, with no effort required on their part (although food and shelter I think should be a basic right for everyone). Rather, I’m referring to people who with the right attitude, the right intent in their hearts, and a solid work ethic, achieve everything in their wildest dreams.

This question comes up in tough economic times. Some employers, I think wrongly, try and take advantage of the fear associated in these moments to say “times are tough for everyone, so reduce your wages/benefits [fill in the blank] and we’ll keep on going”. Other people agree thinking that in a tough economy, better to have less wages/benefits/[fill in the blank] than to have no job at all. People will say “well I don’t have that in my job, so why should you?” That attitude is what I call the race to the bottom- and at the bottom, there lies only dust.

Well I think there is a yes and no to that particular predicament. Some companies truly do need a break from their workers to weather tough times. However I might argue that you could agree to that – as long as the company agrees in writing that as the economy rights itself, then the next set of negotiations begin at where you left off, not where you ended up. And why shouldn’t you have the right to negotiate for the same or better in your job or even your relationship?

I think any time a particular person or group can negotiate a position for themselves that improves upon where they were, we should all shout Bravo! And rejoice in their success. And then set your intentions to have the same or better for yourself. Because I do believe it will come – and the outcome from gratitude and joy is much more satisfying than the ashes from the race to the bottom.

We Had Him

Thank you Maya Angelou, for creating such a beautiful, soulful, and loving tribute to Michael Jackson. His memorial service today (which I admittedly feared might become a spectacle) was a moving tribute to the Man in the Mirror that I choose to remember (see Man in the Mirror blog below).

This is Maya Angelou's poem:

"We Had Him" by Maya Angelou

Beloveds, now we know that we know nothing, now that our bright and shining star can slip away from our fingertips like a puff of summer wind.
Without notice, our dear love can escape our doting embrace. Sing our songs among the stars and walk our dances across the face of the moon.
In the instant that Michael is gone, we know nothing. No clocks can tell time. No oceans can rush our tides with the abrupt absence of our treasure.
Though we are many, each of us is achingly alone, piercingly alone.
Only when we confess our confusion can we remember that he was a gift to us and we did have him.
He came to us from the creator, trailing creativity in abundance.
Despite the anguish, his life was sheathed in mother love, family love, and survived and did more than that.
He thrived with passion and compassion, humor and style. We had him whether we know who he was or did not know, he was ours and we were his.
We had him, beautiful, delighting our eyes.
His hat, aslant over his brow, and took a pose on his toes for all of us.
And we laughed and stomped our feet for him.
We were enchanted with his passion because he held nothing. They would love to be able to live in the United States and perhaps realize their own "American Dream". And yet the U.S. has been criticized and reviled for its belligerent, patronizing "Father Knows Best" attitude about how the rest of the world should run its affairs.

Well I recently adopted a habit from our American neighbors that I think more Canadians could do well to adopt. That is the habit of showing your national pride by having a flag flying at your residence. Yesterday, for the first time ever, I attached a Canadian flag to our house. And surprisingly, it brought tears to my eyes.

I've always been a proud and grateful Canadian. We're not a perfect country, no one is. But I tell you, having travelled around the world in my younger days, every time I came back to Canada I wanted to kiss the ground and give blessings for living in such a beautiful, mostly gracious, mostly loving and caring country.

And yet it seemed "weird" to fly our national flag.

Yesterday, the day before Canada Day, I felt this urge I could no longer resist. I dug out the tissue-wrapped flag that had been given to me as a gift years ago and kept in the back of a cupboard. I zipped out to the hardware store to get some cord to tie it with. And then I climbed on the chair on the porch and then railing to reach up and tie that flag to the ceiling of the porch.

And when it caught the evening breeze and flew out in all its glory, this ball of love opened in my heart and tears appeared in my eyes and I went down to the sidewalk to make sure it looked ok and was flying the way it should be. And I gave great thanks for being a Canadian. And thanks for our American neighbors for showing me how easy it is to express your love of your country.

Happy Canada Day everyone!

The Man in the Mirror is the Man I Choose to Remember

Mallika Chopra’s blog, Bloodsuckers and The World of Michael Jackson
(http://intent.com/mallikachopra/blog/bloodsuckers-and-world-michael-jackson) hit the nail on the head with a great big smack. I’ve avoided blogging about Michael Jackson because I did not know him personally – only his music, and what is reported in the media.

It saddened me greatly his death. Not just the loss of a brilliant young man (he was younger than me, so that gives me the right to say that!) who exemplified the word “genius” in relation to his art – his music and his dance.

But I was also greatly saddened by the whole nature of a great number of people who because they cannot tolerate the success of someone other than themselves, find ways to dig dirt and create doubt about character and motives in these bigger than life personalities, who relish in gossip and innuendo, and attack and undermine until the weight of that burden crushes the celebrity and their life force is extinguished. Then these same people who for years contributed to the destruction of such an artistic genius – come out in droves to eulogize him or to profit from his death.

It is the height of hypocrisy. I choose not to listen to the bizarre reports or buy magazines that do anything but celebrate his genius.

Rather, I choose to remember Michael Jackson the amazing entertainer that inspired the next generation of entertainers – and will probably continue to inspire generations as his music lives on. Sure he made choices as an adult that were inappropriate. But were they malicious or with evil intent? I don’t think so. I think it was more a sad case of not knowing any boundaries and trying to enjoy the childhood he by all accounts never had. His spirit was too innocent and loving for evil intent.

I first started paying attention to Michael Jackson’s music when “Ben” became a hit single. I was 15 years old at the time, and boy could I relate to the lyrics. It didn’t matter it was written about the love of a boy and a rat – it was about having a friend to call your own. And from there on every hit he wrote seemed to hang itself on a particular stage in my life.

His lyrics were honest and recalled I’m sure his own angst growing up. His music was simply alive. His dance, so fluid I couldn’t imagine anyone ever being able to dance like Michael. And by all accounts (the ones I choose to listen to) he was a loving father and one of the greatest philanthropists of his age.

That’s the Michael Jackson I choose to remember.

I'm Starting With The Man In The Mirror
I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways
And No Message Could Have Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World A Better Place
Take A Look At Yourself, And Then Make A Change

R.I.P. I knew it was wrong, I knew I should have said something, and I didn’t. I can't explain why - I've always spoken up when there has been bullying, at the work place or the grocery store or wherever the event was. But this time for some reason the yelling triggered another memory in me and I was afraid. I was afraid the man would turn on me, perhaps even getting physically violent.

While I did go in to the store and tell the staff at the desk that someone should send a manager out to the parking lot, it haunted me for years I didn’t speak up when I saw what was happening. And when I got home that day I vowed that I would never hesitate to speak up sooner, and step up as I would hope someone would do for me had it been me needing a stranger.

What can one person do? Well since then I’ve learned how powerful one voice can be. One person, can change the world. One person, one at a time, can create their own patch of light in the world making positive, intentional change, and that patch eventually reaches another patch and another and another …until you’re breathless and in awe of how many like minded people are around making the world a better place. And then you feel your soul filled with joy that people care about something greater than themselves. I’m not talking about a god or religion or source – although that is surely part of it. But people care about service to others, and service to the planet, and loving. People care about cooperation, not solely competition.

And once we reach that critical mass of like-minded people, I have no doubt we’ll see a quantum shift in our evolution.

When Bruce Lipton in his book Biology of Belief said it is not the survival of the fittest that will see our species survive, it is survival of the most loving … I see how true that is. And that my friends is the Power of One. One person, one life, one community, one planet.

With much gratitude for being part of this community, my intent is to let my voice be heard wherever injustice speaks.
Alison

TIME Magazine and Creo Mundi Intentional Protein

Whoo hoo! We did it! We were mentioned in a TIME magazine article that was talking about Intentional Nutrition! Intentional nutrition is a growing area of research but one that people are obviously starting to pay attention to (including TIME!). We were one of ten companies interviewed for the story, and one of three still standing in the final edit (and the only Canadian company to be in there). We were included because of our Intentional Protein Drink.

What is an Intentional Protein Drink?

In addition to ensuring only the best quality ingredients in our protein, we have created the intention in this protein that whoever consumes this product on a regular basis will experience enhanced Performance, Balance and Vitality. This process of Intention has been created on three levels, including the use of our watermark words to hold the intention in the package (visible in the original label, transparent but present in the new label). This is the most powerful level, working on the principle in quantum physics that if everything is energy, and positive words contain a higher vibrational energy than negative words, then simply by drinking this product (or wearing our Intentional shirts) you’ll be attracting positive energy into your life all day long. Dr. Emoto was able to demonstrate this principle photographically in his “Messages from Water” series, where water “treated” with positive words (and then frozen in his lab) formed beautiful ice crystals, and water treated with negative word had malformed ice crystals.

We also perform a ceremony before each production run, on samples that will be used in that specific production. And finally, we have our light-worker, Janet M to help us really power-boost the Intention we created. Janet has many years of experience as an energy healer and practices many healing modalities, including Seichim – the original full-power Tibetan system for connecting with Living Light Energy. Janet is also a practitioner of Huna (a Hawaiian modality), Reiki, Meditation, Deep Tissue Therapy, Crystal Therapy, and Quantum Touch. Janet showed us how to grid the sample in a crystal infinity grid to extend the intention to the 4 corners of the earth.

Now believe what you will about Intention - we know that you are getting a superior product with our protein drink anyway. But wouldn't you rather ingest a product that you know was created with love, to enhance performance, balance, and vitality? Or ingest a product created with indifference?

I know, as the President of Creo Mundi, which product I would choose! And I do - I start every morning with 2 scoops of our Intentional protein drink...without fail.

Our new labels:

Chocolate

Vanilla

Strawberry/Banana
Creo Mundi Intentional Protein can be found at Loblaw company stores across Canada, soon in health food stores (through Purity Life distributing); and we are working on getting this into the U.S. as soon as we can - ask your local health food store to stock us!

Wayne Dyer, Gregg Braden, Caroline Myss and more!

Oh what a weekend it was a few weeks back when Wayne Dyer, Gregg Braden, Caroline Myss and others came to Toronto for the Louise Hay I Can Do It Conference. Each of the guests spoke for 3 hours and yet time flew by and it seemed like minutes. Wayne Dyer is always a favourite of everyone. My eyes were opened by Gregg Braden, who talked about his new book Fractal Time and the concept of circles of time being able to predict when similar energy is due. Gregg is a former aerospace software engineer so his talk really appealed to my left brain thinking! He spoke of the hoopla around 2012, and how people must remember it is not the "end of the world" but rather an end of a world time. He was hugely informative and very entertaining. I recommend going to his website (and getting his book) to play with the Time Code Calculator that can predict your own personal cycles of time be it in relationships, finance, success - anything.

Thank you to Hay House for presenting such a beautiful event!

Giving away as much as we keep - starting tonight

Oh it has been way too long since I posted a blog! Sometimes these are a lot to keep up with, which is one reason we encourage people to sign up to our newsletter at www.creomundi.com to keep up with our news.

In any case, we have great news today! At midnight tonight we launch the first Creo Mundi 50/50 fundraiser for the Nova Scotia SPCA where we give away as much as we keep. We are doing this through our sister website, www.half4charity.com. This is the first of we hope a lifetime of fundraisers. The fundraiser begins at midnight March 16 and runs for 3 weeks until 5 pm April 6. Any shirts sold during that time period (and using the organizations identifying coupon code on checkout) will result in a sharing of net proceeds 50/50 between us and the non profit. That's right--50% of net proceeds to them, 50% to us.

So please tell all your friends and colleagues about this event! This year, I would like to start my gratitude list with a quote from the teachings of Abraham:

"The idea of "success," for most people, revolves around money or the acquisition of property or other possessions--but we consider a state of joy as the greatest achievement of success."

For me, and for our company, 2008 has been a year of challenges and triumphs, highs and lows, but almost always joyful. Working on building this company brings me great joy - even in challenging times. Creating the Intention that we will help raise the awareness, the vibrational energy in people through our products and thus help improve their lives gives me great joy. By Abraham's measure, it has been a very successful year.

I am grateful that despite a global economic crisis we have made it through this year financially. Part of the challenges all small businesses face is making it through tough times like 2008. I am grateful for being able to acknowledge the crisis, but not let it become the predominant vision and vibration for us. We stayed focused on our goals and remained hopeful of change. I am grateful that we are still able to move forward, one step at a time.

I am grateful to the new people who have found Creo Mundi this past year and understand the Intention in our products. We have had visitors to our site from 55 different countries and nearly 870 cities around the world - and that's just since mid-October when we were able to track these visits. It's sometimes hard to imagine that all these people find us! So I am very grateful that they do.

I am grateful for the opportunities to raise awareness of our company - even shows like the Dragons' Den ... who may not have appreciated our clothing concept but sure liked our protein drink! There were lessons learned from this event, as with all events and choices we made.

I am deeply grateful for people like Kate & John who have expressed the wish to be the wind beneath our wings. For Richard and crew who redesigned our website. For Janet M. who now works with us as our official Energy Consultant for power-boosting our Intention in our products. For Stuart who is our official Scientific Advisor who helps us with the scientific benefits of our protein. For Rick who continues to be a strong interpreter (graphically and artistically) of our vision. For Lincoln who wants to work with us to grow our contacts overseas for our protein. For Dave who wants to build our vision in the schools through the tees that kids wear. For Iain who continues to be our strongest supporter even as he faces his own challenges. I am truly grateful for these people and more who have come into our lives this year.

I am grateful for being able to continue to learn and to grow, intellectually and spiritually. For being healthy--which is a far more precious commodity than money. For having a partner that supports me and what we are doing, and who continues to inspire me to be a better person.

I strongly believe 2009 is the year we will fly. And in doing so, I'm grateful for learning how to let go, and how to have faith to keep going, keep moving forward even when the way is not always clear.

"And after that final no there comes a yes, and on that yes the future world depends" [Wallace Stevens]

As this year ends and a new one begins, I want to wish you all a wondrous, healthy, prosperous year ahead for 2009, and set the Intention that we all continue to work at bringing in the light in our own way to our own little patch of the world, so that the light joins with other patches, with our friends, our neighbors, and eventually our planet. I believe that saying "yes" to creating our patches of light will help shape the future world.

And as always, I must finish with Hope in this message. I continue to hope that one day we will see conflict resolved with dialogue and not with violence; and that we will live to see a world where the extraordinary becomes ordinary.

With Love and Gratitude,Alison

P.S. Our primary charity for 2008 was the Durham Region Humane Society. Tragically, before Christmas (on December 17) a fire killed 150 animals at the center (including over 100 cats) and destroyed the building. The Durham Region Humane Society had outgrown its current location and was fundraising for a new building before the tragedy. We are grateful for the people across the country that rallied to help raise funds in the wake of this event. If you are able to donate, please go to http://www.humanedurham.com/. We will keep this charity as our primary charity for 2009 also.

Change the World Can Believe In

Yesterday, for the first time I wished I could vote in America. It felt like I held my breath all day until a new President-Elect of the United States of America was declared.

This morning the world has woken up to a new President-Elect of the United States of America. Barack Obama. A transformational President. One who by all accounts is poised to work across party lines and bring together the elected representatives in the Senate and the House of Representatives who speak for Americans across their country and actually work together to create the change President-Elect Barack Obama represents. This is a man who has lit the fire in the hearts of Americans and people around the world for the first time since John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy in the 1960’s.

This man carries a lot of hopes and dreams and more than his share of expectations. Can he carry them? I think he can. I think he can with the support of his nation, and with the support of other nations around the world he can achieve what he set to accomplish. Will there be delays or setbacks? Of course there will. Some of the greatest victories are achieved only through conquering great challenges.

Still, despite the historic election (or perhaps because of it) many people fear that Obama will be harmed. What I would like us all to do now is instead of worrying about any harm that may come to him, focus on President-Elect Barack Obama being safe. Remember that what we focus on we create – and we want to create an environment of safety and security for Obama and his family so that he is free to meet the challenges he and his country have set. And just like casting a ballot where every vote counts, your thoughts and prayers and Intentions all count in helping co-create a world where positive change can, and will, occur.

Today I am one of the many hundreds of thousands of people around the world saying “God Bless America”. Thank you people of America for voting for change.

Gratitude Cruise

Those who have heard us talk know that one of the remarkable things that happens when your Intentions line up with your thoughts, feelings, and emotions, is that opportunities appear – and that you are able to recognize those opportunities and act on them. One of the opportunities that has recently appeared is the Gratitude Cruise that sails in March 2009 for 8 days in the Western Caribbean (http://www.oceanofgratitudecruise.com/).

Yes, I can hear some voices now – “a cruise? In this economy? Are you crazy?” Well no, actually! Like many others with a message of Love and Hope, our answer is to focus on what inspires you, not on what you fear. By focusing on what inspires you, you create the world you want for yourself. And this cruise would be a gathering of like-minded individuals – what better way to give your energy a charge! The teachers on this cruise include world-renowned Dr. Michael Beckwith – one of the teachers of The Secret, and head of the Agape International Spiritual Center. Other speakers include best-selling authors, physicians, and artists, all working to provide you with tools that will enhance the rest of your life. I can’t think of a better time to learn how to turn away fear and embrace inspiration than in this time of change and turmoil.

All I can say is that if you were planning a vacation anyway, you might consider this cruise through Costa Rica, Panama, and Cozumel. Eight days of positive energy and inspiration…enough to recharge even the most tired of souls.

(***BONUS***:Don’t forget to mention Creo Mundi when booking. When your booking is confirmed, we will send you a unique code that will give you a greater discount on your next purchase at Creo Mundi not available to the general public. When we create positive energy in the world we really are changing the way we think about ourselves. And if we change the way we think about ourselves we will change the way we think about others. And if we continue to accomplish that, we will eventually live in a world where the ordinary becomes extraordinary – and what a world that will be!

A new Facebook group has been created (Positive People, Groups, and Links) and is dedicated to all the separate people, groups, and links that are adding their own positive energy into the world. I truly believe that different people need to hear the same message of Love and Hope in different ways – there is no one “answer” to what makes the light-bulb moment of truth for people.

So in this group of Positive People, Groups, and Links, if you belong to a group that is about positive people (like http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=18083399680), or blog about staying positive, or if you create products that help people attract and maintain their positive energy (such as http://www.creomundi.com); or perhaps you provide a service (coaching, speaking) or know of a terrific radio or TV program that is all about making positive change – post your link there. Like static electricity in the air when there are no thunderstorms around? Doesn't it feel like you're being pulled into "something" but you're not sure what?

I know I've been feeling it for a while - it is part of why we created Creo Mundi. The static electricity feeling that seems to appear whenever we talk of what we want to accomplish. The buzz is also in the air at events such as the California Womens Conference 2008 hosted by First Lady Maria Shriver. Wow! What inspiration there! I watched it on streaming video tonight and a few times was wiping away tears!

We have created our own "Call to Action" with our concept... when we surround the body with positive words and then in the center of it all our sign off "Think it. Feel it. Create it." It is our own call to action for everyone wearing these shirts to start thinking about what inspires you and not what you fear. By focusing your energy on what inspires you, inspiration is what will be attracted to you. Can you imagine what you can accomplish with that inspiration? Perhaps the cure for cancer or the common cold, perhaps a way to eradicate poverty, perhaps as simple as an escape strategy in an abusive situation. Whatever the inspiration that results, we are part of a large global group that in one form or another is asking each of us to respond to the call to action. Make change now, make it positive and make it start with you.

Finding Heroes

How easy is it to be a hero? Ever wondered if you have what it takes for someone to call you a hero? Well you do! It’s already inside you!

We have this idealized image of a hero in our heads: a hero is the person who runs into a burning building to save some stranger at great risk to their own lives. A hero is the soldier who dies fighting for our country. A hero is the kid who saved a bag of puppies from drowning because he heard their cries and pulled them from the water.

A hero is...all of this and more.

These are just the most dramatic examples of what we see as heroes. But there are more everyday examples of heroes that you have in your own life—you just have to change your perception ever so slightly and think again what it means to be a hero.

Everyone is born a hero. Everyone. I have a lot of everyday heroes in my life.

My partner is my hero—having overcome tremendous life obstacles and bend during the toughest times, but not break.

My brother is my hero, for protecting family without hesitation, or give aid to family from wherever he is in the world—I know I can count on him when the chips are down.

My other brother is my hero too, for raising such incredibly kind and loving children in a world that is not always kind and compassionate.

My mother is my hero, for being able to block out her fear of claustrophobia to be locked into a mask for radiation therapy for throat cancer.

My father is my hero, for being the kind of man and doctor that has patients and friends alike admiring his compassion and common sense.

And I’m sure that to my cats, I’m their hero for loving them and feeding them and talking to them when they want attention!
The point is there are heroes in every one of us. We just haven’t always learned to recognize they are there within.
So start opening your eyes today, and start looking for the hero within you. I know you are there...

Web Redesign - Whoo hoo!

It's done! Dr. Emoto has published at least 6 books with photographs demonstrating the effect on ice crystal formation on water that has had positive words taped to the dish, or negative words (as well as different types of music). Here are 2 of Dr. Emoto's photos (reprinted with permission):

This was indeed part of the inspiration behind Creo Mundi - the fact that the human body is over 70% water, thus if we surround the body with positive words perhaps we can fundamentally change the way people think about themselves (in a positive way).

Now Dr. Bruce Lipton has published a book “The Biology of Belief, Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter & Miracles” where he describes the research demonstrating at a scientific level how your cells respond to your thoughts and perceptions.

The work in this area is exploding, and while many people remain unconvinced, my own feeling is that just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there. All it means is that our science has not yet caught up to being able to capture the data in a meaningful way. You can’t see gravity, but you can feel it. You can’t see energy from your body, but you can feel it.

So perhaps it is time to start paying attention to what you think on a daily basis, who or what you surround yourself with, and the actions you take each day. You really are in control of your own environment, so start making positive choices for a healthier being.

What is the Secret Power of Intention?

To understand the secret power of Intention, let’s first look at the purpose of setting Intentions. The purpose of setting an Intention is similar to setting a goal – you are creating for yourself the vision of your day, your meeting, your career path, your relationships. It is setting out an anticipated outcome that you wish to occur or the direction that you wish to travel. I liken it to projecting the energy you want to attract around you.

Intention energy is an energy that connects thoughts and emotions or feelings – just thinking about something long and hard will not have it materialize in your life. It especially won’t materialize if you think you want it but believe you’re not good enough to have it—whatever “it” is! So your thoughts and emotions have to be consistent with each other in your Intention.

The final component of Intention is the physical activity you take, and this must also be consistent with the thoughts and emotions you have expressed. Expressing a particular desire or course of action is not enough without consistent action steps in line with that Intent. To say you want a loving life, and then be mean-spirited to a neighbor, a co-worker, or some kid working in a store is not going to reflect love back into your life. To say that you are creating something with love and compassion, and then yell at someone for not “getting” it is not going to create a successful outcome!

Your actions must be in line with your thoughts and desires.

When that happens – magic happens. When your thoughts, your emotions, and your actions all align, it is like being on some magic carpet ride. It is not that all of a sudden everything you desire suddenly materializes out of nowhere. I wish that were true! What happens is that in quick order opportunities come into your life that help make your Intention manifest. The magic of Intention, or the Secret Power of Intention, is how it shifts your attitude and perceptions even ever so slightly so that you are “awakened” to the opportunities around you. It is as though you have created some magnetic shift that brings into your sphere people and events that know how to “make happen” your Intention and are willing to work with you to see it manifest.

That to me is the secret power of Intention. And it is why at Creo Mundi we have on the inside back of all of our shirts, “Think it. Feel it. Create it.” as a constant reminder for people as to what Intention is about.

Discover the Power of Intention for Yourself! Dave's Story...

Here is yet another example of the Power of Intention and how surrounding yourself with positive thoughts and energy only brings more positive energy into your life. Dave was recently invited to Las Vegas to photograph the Canadian team at the Ms. Fitness Worlds competition. This is his story:

“On the flight down, I wore my new Creo Mundi shirt, the black one that you just got for me. I was telling Steve’s wife and friend, who where my travel companions about the whole concept of Creo Mundi and they absolutely loved the idea. (They wished that they had thought of it). Anyway, as it turned out, the photographer coming from Finland didn’t get his Visa and I got the whole show to photograph, both Ms. Fitness USA & Worlds. The event has changed things for me in such a positive way and many great things are coming out of it.

Ms. Fitness has already booked me to come back next year to be their Official photographer for the USA & Worlds competition being held in Reno Nevada in August. I will likely have covers of their magazine for January and April issues and they are looking at promoting me through their magazine. One of the top fitness competitors and fitness models, Nikki Crawford has asked me to come to her ranch to do a photo shoot next year in Oregon just prior to the Worlds event. We will photograph some of the top fitness competitors in the world there prior to the show.

This is such a huge break for me and finally some of the recognition that I have been waiting for.

I am convinced that by surround ourselves with positive energy and thoughts, and friends, only good can come from it.”

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://creomundi.blogspot.com/2008/10/discover-power-of-intention-for.html' title='Discover the Power of Intention for Yourself! Both in the US and in Canada. One of the more recent comments was this:

"I wear an over-sized bamboo as a night shirt - my weird (bad) dreams have stopped. It's a comforting feeling - like knowing that when I wear the Creo Mundi shirt everything is going to be ok".

I actually tried it for the first time last night (usually I'm starkers in bed!). My usual non-stop running of thoughts disappeared - so much so that I was able to sleep through the night. Interestingly, I had not a single hot flash (I usually have 4-5 "power surges" a night...so hot I'm dripping!) - this was quite the opposite of what I expected. I expected to be way too hot to be wearing the shirt for sleeping. Instead, I was sooooo comfortable in the oversize bamboo that it made me think we should be using these for nightshirts. It is a community that focuses on "what inspires us rather than on what we fear", thus manifesting the world they desire. What a beautiful way to live. There are different communities within Gaia, circles within circles if you will. All with like-minded people who want to make a positive difference in the world.

I tell you, tapping into these sites brings to my mind the images from an ad where a young lad (representing David) was swinging his slingshot overhead with an ominous shadow (representing Goliath) looming over him. Then the camera pulls back and you witness a sea of people, each with a slingshot whirling over their heads too. The message is that together we can overcome anything. That's what I feel like every time I find one of these communities - that if we can link together through sites like Gaia, like The Intention Experiment (below) and others, what a power for positive change we can be! It only takes a small amount of change to create a big difference - because a small change in you and a small change in me and a small change in another and another and another ... it all adds up to this wonderful sea of positive energy that seems to be coming in. We feel such enormous gratitude for being a small part of this change.

Belief and Intention - Can One Amplify the Effect of the other?

It has been interesting reading about Intentions and how they work, and the constant two-way flow of communication between living things. Recently in reading the book The Intention Experiment, it confirmed that a shared belief in the power of intention as well as a positive state of mind may indeed enhance the results - in this case, the effects of healing on the body. Several experiments appear to support these findings.
So when you hear us say, or read in our clothing, "Think it. Feel it. Create it.", we really are calling out to those people who are open to the possibilities that there really is something more than simply the placebo effect in our concept. Indeed, just by making a conscious choice to put on a Creo Mundi shirt for example, you are creating the belief that this indeed is going to help you be aware of the choices you make each day and to choose more positive responses. Perhaps that is half the battle right there...

An Evening with Mari Lucas

Well! I’d first heard about the concept of micro-credit after reading about the founder of the Grameen bank (Dr. Muhammad Yunus) who later was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to eradicate poverty. Then today I saw an article about KIVA. This organization prescreens entrepreneurs in 3rd world countries, and then posts their requests on the KIVA website for people to offer these mini- or micro credit loans. This is a way for all of us to help, from the comfort of our homes. They do not offer a return on your investment, and they do not guarantee there is no risk. However that's why being able to loan small amounts make it much more attractive from a North American point of view where $25 might be the equivalent of a week's worth of coffee. To the third world, $25 could mean the difference between losing a business or growing a business.

With as little as $25 (or as much as you like) to someone in a 3rd world country you can make a difference to someone who is trying to develop a new business or expand their existing one. The loan is typically paid back within 3 months. And this particular charitable organization KIVA has a pay-back rate of over 98% which is amazing. The neat thing is that you get to choose who you want the money to go to.

Kiva, the name of the organization, means "agreement" or "unity" in Swahili. Their website is www.kiva.org. As an organization, this is certainly something we wish to support, and as individuals, it lets everyone be part of a solution without ever having to leave home. Well done KIVA. (KIVA has previously been featured on the PBS show Frontline, October 2006).

Action + Intention = Results

A number of people seem to think that just by "thinking positively" everything they want to happen will happen. It doesn't quite work like that (although for wishful thinking, they get an A+!). It takes Effort or Action plus Intention to get Results. And I think we've been finding this out the past year. Yes, creating a positive framework in your thoughts is important, but so are taking the action steps towards your desired outcome. The more action steps you take the faster you will manifest your desired outcome.

Some think The Secret failed because wonderful riches did not "manifest" in their living rooms even though they "thought" with all their might and "believed" with all their soul, it just didn't "create" their wishes. It describes how the author, a physician and brain anatomy specialist, suffered a stroke and survived, and later was able to write about what was happening to her as her mind deteriorated. Level by level in the brain she lost the ability to read, write, recall any of her life, walk, talk or even know where the boundaries of her body began and ended. And it was at that point, where she lived in a "super consciousness" if you will where she realized how we are all part of the same energy. What an incredible, fascinating, moving and uplifting story.

Maya Angelou in Toronto

We were blessed with the opportunity to share a space with Maya Angelou last month in Toronto. It is an email I received from our first Australian customer:
— From Australia: Hi there Alison, It’s Sasha, your first Australian customer. (smile) I have a little story for you… last Monday I woke and I intentionally put on my Creo Mundi Polo Shirt (you call it a Golf Shirt) as I wanted to be surrounded by the positive energy from the words printed on the shirt. That afternoon I was meeting with a couple that showed some interest in buying a property that I just started building. (I’m a builder). The market here is slowing down and there isn’t many buyers going around spending $700K + (my asking price). After showing them through the half finished house, we had a discussion and they offered me $680K plus half the money up front which means I don’t have to use the banks money to finish it and therefore I would save $20K which means I still get the $700K!! The real estate agent could not believe it – first week on the market, first buyer, first offer!! I thought about it, I felt it, I created it! THINK IT, FEEL IT, CREATE IT!

Now talk about positive energy!!! You go Sasha!

Creo Mundi will face the Dragons!

We did it! Whoo hooo!!!
You should be able to feel my happy feet if not imagine them dancing right now! We learned last week that we have been selected to face the Dragons’ for Season 3 of the Dragons’ Den on CBC television! (For those who may not know the show, check it out at www.cbc.ca/dragonsden). Now this gets us about 90% of the way there – apparently our pitch will have to be perfect as not all who face the Dragons’ get on the show. But you know us!!!! Ever the positive beings and we will be sure to be one of the ones picked to air in the fall.

This is huge for the company as this will give us national exposure for our design concept as well as for the protein drink. I know the Dragons’ are a tough group. We want them to want us – so that everyone can see what we have. This could very well be the tipping point we were looking for to have our concept available to as many people as possible so that they too can experience the positive energy inside.

Dragons’ Den here we come!!!!!!!!!! Taping is May 29 (show will air sometime in the fall) so I want all the positive energy directed towards Creo Mundi that day. So if you work with a school, or a sports team of some kind, and have maybe as small an order as 35 shirts – this screen printer will be able to do the job. We will be actively contacting private schools (to start) for contracts to have our design added to school uniforms (Montessori schools, Trafalgar, Havergal for example) and help this screen printer build his business. If any people reading this blog are involved in any group setting of any kind and can provide contact names and numbers for companies that may be interested in our design on their uniforms that we might follow up, thank you, we would love to have the help.
We are also actively working behind the scenes to contact reputable licensing agents to help us take Creo Mundi to the next level.
We had our first Australian order, and in an unrelated contact, our first request to be our Australian distributor - so we can now officially say we've gone around the world and back again. This is a message from the President of Creo Mundi. I have some rather exciting news to report.

Now I know people expect the President of a company to be very professional, to be controlled at all times, to stay calm and report the news in a manner befitting the title. If this is the type of communication you expect from a President, read no further. It’s done. We’re on the shelf at Loblaws.

Now, if you’re more used to the rather exuberant, heartfelt, pure joy and abandon that I usually feel when reporting updates on Creo Mundi – read on below!!!

It’s official everyone!!!! We’ve had our first reported sighting of Creo Mundi Protein on the shelf at the Real Canadian Superstore in Whitby Ontario (in the healthy living section)!! Whoooo hooo! See my happy dance!
Please let me know when you find it in a store near you – I want to see how fast this travels across the country. And if it’s not in your local store, don’t forget, if your store is one of the Loblaw Companies Group and has a Natural Value Section they can order it in the system…just ask for it.
Happy feet! What more can you ask for?!

Don't forget to tell your friends about it too.

Baby Angelica-Leslie

Baby Angelica-Leslie received two of our "Love and Hope" baby jumpers last week. We want everyone to be checking out the fantastic protein drink in the Natural Foods section of all Loblaws stores (Canada-wide). Those stores include:

- Loblaws
- Natures Measure
- Natural Value
- Real Canadian Superstore
- Atlantic Superstore
- Independent
- Zehrs
- Fortinos
- Dominion

If it is not already in the stores, keep asking when it will be there, and keep checking back. We anticipate by March it will be in all stores.

The press release is as follows:

Creo Mundi ― “The Little Company That Could”

OSHAWA, ON—January 14, 2008— How powerful is the Power of Positive Thinking? Very, if you talk to Alison Prentice, President of Creo Mundi Inc. “It also helps if no one has told you ‘you can’t do that’” said Prentice. “I thought this was normal for doing business”.

What did they do that Prentice thought was normal, that in fact turned out to be highly unusual?
In the space of a few short months they have negotiated to have their product, a whey protein isolate drink, onto the shelves of the Loblaws Distribution network (Loblaws, Real Canadian Superstore, Atlantic Superstore, Independent, Zehrs, Natural Value, Natures Measure, Fortinos, and Dominion) in one month ― and across the country the following month. Starting in February 2008 Creo Mundi Protein Drink will be in 100 Loblaws stores, and come March, will be available to all 250 stores across Canada.

How did they do that?

“Our company is all about a positive way of being” said Prentice. “We launched our concept using clothing as the first vehicle – with over 200 positive words written on the inside of our clothing in 15 languages from around the world. I’ve been wearing one of our styles of shirts every day since we have had them in stock.”

They also have a great protein drink, one endorsed by lifetime drug-free athletes (Mr. Natural Universe 2000, Mr. Mixed Martial Arts Champion North America 2007). Officially launched at the Canadian Health Food Association trade show last fall, Prentice has been in discussion with the senior buyer of the Natural Food Division of Loblaws ever since. “They asked if we could create an all-natural version” said Prentice “which wasn’t a problem. We were going that way anyway. And they asked if we could offer a smaller size – another great idea”.

Working with their lab in P.E.I., the founders of the company had an evening of taste-testing. “If anything, the all-natural version tasted even better than the original, and still there was no clumping. It was a win-win situation for us” said Prentice. According to Prentice, it was only when she was in discussion with the editor of VIVA magazine (in regards to placing an ad) that she learned how unique this situation was. This was confirmed later with the manager at the local store.

“Hey” said Prentice, “we’ve always said we have to go big or go home! This is just the beginning for us. We know we have a superb product, competitively-priced. We can hardly wait to see people enjoy the benefits that others already experience with this protein.”

What a story. Perhaps they should rename their company, from Creo Mundi (Latin for Create Your Universe) to The Little Company That Could.

Gratitude at the end of 2007

All of you that have been introduced to Creo Mundi know that in creating our logo we embedded into the DNA double helix design our core words — feelings or aspirations we believe are common to everyone no matter who you are or where you live. The core words were then translated into 14 other languages, most commonly used languages, to represent as best we could people from around the world. The core words are: Gratitude, Compassion, Love, Hope, Peace, Health, Tolerance, and Acceptance.

At the end of 2007, I want to share with you a few of the many things I am Grateful for this year as President of Creo Mundi, and by sharing my gratitude with those who know us, or know of us, I want to let you know that you are appreciated too.

As always, it begins with being most grateful for having a loving partner at my side to share dreams and goals and visions for today and the future; a partner who inspires me every day to be a better person.

I am grateful for being able to work with the best group of friends and business partners a company ever had — Jocelyn, Janet, and Richard. This is a special group of people whose energy and belief and unwavering support in what we are doing is what has sustained me this past year as we have nurtured Creo Mundi from the birth of a concept to a small but growing business that is taking this message of a positive way of being to others around the world.

I am grateful for people like Barry, Donna, and Judy who have donated their time to help us develop research, or begin to lay out policies and procedures. And Iain who is without a doubt the absolute, hands-down, best person to have at a trade show! The most talkative, the most likeable, the most non-stop fun…as people at the other booths commented, Iain is our secret weapon! And Greg who works long hours to support his family and continue his training regimen, but who still takes time to support Creo Mundi. Thank you to all of you.

I am truly and deeply grateful for each and every shareholder in our company (one of whom has recently passed away but I am sure has now joined the ranks of our guardian angels) including those shareholders currently in the company as well as those considering becoming part of the company. All of you share our vision of a better world through changing the way we think about ourselves one body at a time, you believe in us and our ability to take this to where it needs to go, you are so enthusiastic about the energy we are all releasing in the world — all of you are bringing energy to the company that is attracting the contacts we need to move forward (the Law of Attraction in action!). In addition to your belief in us as a group, I am humbled by your belief in me personally to guide this vision of Creo Mundi, and hope that I can continue to inspire us all to take this dream forward so that many millions of people can benefit from our concept.

I am grateful for the artists close to Creo Mundi who have been able to transfer the vision in our minds onto paper. To Igor who created our logo from the scratchings on a piece of paper, to Jamie who created the artwork panels for the clothing, to Claudette and studio for the artwork for our protein, and to Rick – who captured the emotion we all feel with Creo Mundi in a single poster that brought tears to our eyes when it was revealed. Thank you.

I am grateful for the new people I have been meeting this year, in person or on the radio or over the phone, the new relationships that have started to grow from having come in contact with Creo Mundi. I am grateful for the people who have shared with us the difference Creo Mundi has made in their lives already. I feel very blessed for all the people that have come into our lives with such positive energy and enthusiasm.

Whatever relationships you have attracted in your life at this moment, are precisely the ones you need in your life at this moment. There is a hidden meaning behind all events, and this hidden meaning is serving your own evolution. (Deepak Chopra)

I am grateful that most days are awesome days for me (I am working on every day being an awesome day!), and that as the song says — I can still see the wonder in a fairy tale. I am grateful for songs that never fail to lift my spirits… like Abba – I have a dream (I believe in angels).

There is much, much more I have to be grateful for. But mostly I am grateful for those people close to me and for the growth we are all experiencing in our lives right now.

As this year ends and a new one begins, I want to wish you all a wondrous, healthy, prosperous year ahead for 2008, and let us all work at bringing in the light in our own way to our own little patch of the world, so that the light joins with other patches, with our friends, our neighbors, and eventually our planet.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. (Martin Luther King, Jr.)

Finally, in light of recent tragic world events in Pakistan and ongoing events in Iraq and Afghanistan, I must finish with Hope in this message. I continue to hope that one day we will see conflict resolved with dialogue and not with violence.

With Love and Gratitude,
Alison

I AM CM - I AM CREO MUNDI - I AM CREATING MY UNIVERSE

This is what we are really about - helping you "be" the person you want to be. The challenges in getting a brand new idea up and running! Our printers have never printed on the inside of clothing before and are double-checking every side they line up for print, our sewers are double-checking that they are sewing with the writing inside and not outside, but boy are we having an enormously positive reaction from everyone about the clothes. From the knitters to the manufacturers to the printers and back again, everyone involved in this process is so hugely supportive of the concept that I know we can say for sure, these clothes are made with love right from the knitting of the fabric to the end garments. Today I personally inspected the inside printing of the garments and they sure look good.

We don't know how other manufacturers or designers feel, but we know that ALL of us here at Creo Mundi can't wait to get our hands on our own clothing to start wearing it. I can't say that I've ever felt that way about clothes before!

Just bear with us and we all learn rapidly about production and shipping. Talk about an enchanting evening! We had a little over an hour but could have gone on for quite a long time. It was not only on Creo Mundi and the inspiration of the company, it was the synchronicities that brought us all together, the Power of Words and thoughts and feelings and relating it to every day life (the background of one of the Directors is nursing and they have seen first hand what prolonged stress will do to the body), the story of the Hawk (who came to the home of two of the Directors and sat on the fence on the day that they had asked themselves if they were really doing the right thing – only to learn that the Hawk in native lore states “the hawk comes to you indicating that you are now awakening to your soul purpose, your reason for being here…”), to Dr Emoto and his research on water and the concept of Hado, to the fact that Creo Mundi is just another piece in the puzzle that is bringing the same message of love and hope to people only in a different package so that hopefully more people will hear and feel the message … there was plenty to talk about.

Two weeks later we were on a second hour-long show, The Don & Wynn Show (also on BBS radio) and had a blast. Being a show of "imagination, higher purpose, and vibration" it was certainly a treat to talk about the frequency and power of Words.

The archives for both shows can be found at the following address:
http://www.bbsradio.com/dreampath/archives/dreampath.php (click on May 12)
and http://www.bbsradio.com/archives/the_don_and_wynn_show.php (click on May 26)

Production samples arrived!

It was an exciting day yesterday as the Production Samples of the Creo Mundi Sweatshirts arrived. In just a few short months we have created a company that is building a brand – and that brand will take the Power of Words and use the frequencies in words to embrace people with positive loving words – literally, on the inside of our clothing. Creo Mundi is dedicated to sharing a Positive, Loving message of Hope– changing the way people think about themselves, one body at a time. This message is not only in the products we produce, but in the way our company is staffed and managed. It is part of the very essence of Creo Mundi – creating a loving, compassionate, socially responsible entity that will be recognized throughout the world.

What has been the reaction so far?
The response has been phenomenal. Not only has everyone we’ve talked to been asking us when they can buy our clothes (June 1), many have cried tears of joy when we’ve shared what we are doing. People really want to live in Hope and not in fear, and our clothing can help inspire hope and give people the extra encouragement and motivation they need, if only subliminally. Our first radio interview was on BBS Radio DreamPath May 12, 2007. Having met the hosts and showed them our samples, they had this (and more) to say in their subsequent newsletter:

“I had no idea: these clothes, (I kid you not!) have the frequency of the words in the core of the fabric, and the words themselves are printed in 14 different languages on the inside of the clothing apparel, and printed in an amazing soft hue that you can actually feel on your skin… I am positive that there will be a new fashion fad created with the launch of Creo Mundi this month, where everyone will be wearing the clothing inside out, so all the world can view and feel the energy. A very valid point was presented this afternoon; you don't have to be a believer of the new age spiritual thought, one simply has to wear or be near one of the products in this new line to receive the benefits of the love frequencies emitted. … There is indeed something very magical happening here.”

Why is Creo Mundi opening up to private investors?
We want to reach this dedicated motivated audience that already understands our concept and how this can change the world – and we want to offer to everyone the opportunity to own a piece of the company that is going to make this massive positive change in the world. Creo Mundi is bigger than the founders – we don’t need to hold 100% of the company. There is plenty enough for everyone. And not many people have the opportunity to be part of something so big right at its beginning. We need to raise capital for sure. But more importantly we want to tap into the incredible energy that this dedicated group has, to explode Creo Mundi into the consciousness of the average person, to get our message of love and hope out to as many people as possible as soon as possible in as many ways as possible. Terrible tragedies such as the school shootings in Virginia and more recently in Toronto only make us feel the need to get this out there more urgently every day.

Much like the healers on Earth working to connect their healing energy, if we could help connect like-minded people through ownership in our company and sales of our products, and raise awareness of such a positive brand, then we believe we will help accomplish extraordinary things in this world. Perhaps to the extent that the extraordinary becomes ordinary. And what a wonderful place the world will be then!
